The Department Planning Unit, the Center of Advanced Spatial Analysis and Drone Adventures are joining up in Lima Peru to begin the participatory mapping mission for two different settlements. As part of the "Mapping beyond the Palimpsest" research project, we are aiming in using innovative methods to enable the communities to identify problems and use creative methods to find solutions. Today's meeting with FORO, has been enlightening in allowing us to better understand the two areas of interest and identify different urban issues such as water supply, "accessibility and land use", forced evictions etc. We ll be flying some mapping drones tomorrow together with Drone Adventures, so stay tuned.
