The 'everchanging' map of Lima's historic centre

Monday 3rd February PM. Revisiting a map of El Cercado de Lima (Lima's historic center) at the local community police station (Serenazgo) reveals the constant redrawing of boundaries by local groups and institutions. This collective form of surveillance makes visible a broad range of everyday challenges confronted here, from irregular solid waste collection to petty crime, prompting local discussions not just on what happens in the area and why, but also eliciting daily actions to improve the experience of public space and dwelling.
